The original Hallmark Press was launched in 2006 by the husband and wife team of Adam and Jacqueline Cadell.
On 20th April 2009 Hallmark moved into a new era with it's sale to Southern based company Planet K Ltd, whose Managing Director is Karen Fryer.
The original Directors knew that very good manuscripts were being rejected by the mainstream press mainly because they would not generate financial returns of hundreds of thousands of pounds. Rather than see these go to waste, Hallmark was launched in order to take on board a selection of the best of these. The new Managing Director will continue this tradition of assisting authors to have their book appear in print.
Although a financial commitment is required by the writer concerned, Hallmark Press is able to offer their help and guidance.
The new author is able to utilise the staff, knowledge, contacts and expertise and this is particularly useful when they perhaps lack the time, knowledge, health or even the desire to complete the necessary work themselves.
Many an aspiring author has received rejection slips, after working long and hard over many weeks, months or years to produce their work, this naturally can be soul destroying, but there is an answer - and we can provide it!
Hallmark Press was launched to offer such authors not only a method of seeing their work in print, but equally importantly at an affordable price. We consider work in virtually all genres, and we are always pleased to speak to current or aspiring authors as and when necessary.
As we say on the home page of this web site - we are proud to be different - we are a young, vibrant and keen company, everything about us, from this site, to our approach to business in general, aims to make us stand out from the crowd, we are professional and efficient and welcome manuscripts in all areas for possible publication.
We stand by our guarantee, that if you can prove to us, via a written offer, that a reputable publisher has offered an identical package at a lower price, we will, at the very least, agree to meet that price - and if possible - beat it!
